Meditation is more than the simple absence of thought. Similarly, rest and relaxation do not spontaneously arise when your work day is over. Today's practice is not so much a “work in progress” as it is a “rest in progress.” We use the techniques of self-massage, breathing, therapeutic movement and deep stillness to train our bodies, nervous systems, and minds to access calmer states. Props: massage ball, blocks, towels, cushions.
